Jewelry Restoration is one of Ross’s strengths as a Master Goldsmith. He can restore most previously repaired, damaged, and vintage jewelry. Not all jewelry can be restored to original condition, however,when possible, Ross Farrar is at the top of this craft. Our on-site laser welder allows us to provide you with state of the art restoration and repair. Treasured jewelry pieces that previously could not be repaired, can now be made to function, often as good as new. Laser Welding is the most significant innovation in gold-smithing in centuries. Laser welding is done by melting the part of the materials to be joined and adding some additional molten joining material. When the molten material cools, it forms a strong bond or joint. |
